About the Near Southeast Community Development Corporation

History! A High School Marching Band! Two Neighborhood Centers, with Computers that serve the Community! A Location near Downtown Fort Worth! That's what our district has to offer!

The Near Southeast Community Development Corporation is busily renovating a 25-acre district which has been a Near Southeast Fort Worth cultural center. The organization was started in 1995 by Near Southeast residents who wished to improve their community. The organization hired its first staff in 1997.

The Near Southeast Community Development Corporation renovates historic homes and builds new homes in the neighborhood it serves. It also provides a staffed community and technology center for neighborhood residents. Each year, the Near Southeast CDC stages its Stroke of Beauty paint- and home-repair event for elderly homeowners. It also sponsors an annual Near Southeast Neighborhood Clean-up, when volunteers clean lots and streets, and also plant trees. The Near Southeast CDC is a U.S. Department of Justice Weed & Seed grant recipient, and its youth are researching community safety issues. Feel free to contact the Near Southeast CDC for more information about housing or business opportunities, or about the technology center.

The NSECDC is governed by a Board of Residents. Non-residents who support its work of may also serve on the Board. The Near Southeast CDC works with business and government partners to achieve its goals.
